Prince Edward County Public Schools proudly represented our community this past weekend at the VBODA District III All-District Band event. Four students participated in the Junior Band: Skyler Crenshaw, Bryce Morgan, Noah Blakely, and Jude Simpson, while four students performed in the Senior Concert Band: Kazu Dinmore, Lillian Ellis, Lillian McCabe, and Whill Stanley. These talented musicians learned their pieces in just 26 hours, culminating in a fantastic performance on Saturday afternoon at James River High School in Chesterfield County.
Additionally, some middle and high school students from PECPS took part in the Virginia Music Educators Association (VMEA) All-District Band. Students auditioned, and the top musicians were selected. The middle school participants were Noah Blakely, Skyler Crenshaw, Bryce Morgan, and Jude Law, with Gavin Bellamy being accepted as an alternate.
