Get in the St. Patrick's Day spirit with our Eagles! Students and staff showed their festive side a few days by wearing green today.

Attention PECMS: The middle school will sponsor a parent workshop on Thursday, March 21st for 8th-grade students and their families.

Prince Edward County Public Schools staff attend various job fairs to recruit the best teachers and staff for our Eagle Family. Recently, Ms. Giles represented PECPS at the Radford University job fair.

These middle school Eagles received positive behavior referrals for January and February. They were recognized for having a positive attitude, being kind to others, and following classroom and school rules and expectations. Go Eagles!

The Office of Student Support Services is celebrating our positive trend in attendance by hosting attendance raffles! The first round of winners is Alyvia G. (not pictured), Dallas R., and Amiyah Q. Congratulations! #EveryDayCounts #AttendanceMattersVA

The division-wide attendance campaign of S.O.A.R. π¦
is an ongoing effort to remind all our Eagles of the importance of daily attendance. Mrs. Amos, the Student Support Specialist, has started showing up to random classes π to give away incentives to our Eagles. Last week, she picked an ES class with perfect attendance to receive a prize. π #AttendanceMattersVA

Did you know that school districts host an annual assessment concert where students perform prepared music for judges, receiving grades or ratings for the entire band? This is in line with the state Standards of Learning for music. A pre-assessment concert recently took place at the high school to prepare for the upcoming assessment concert. The high school assessment is scheduled for Friday, 3/8/24, and the middle school assessment for Saturday, 3/9/24, both at Lloyd C. Bird High School in Chesterfield. Good luck, Eagles!

The following groups were recognized at the school board meeting: PECMS Boys' Basketball Team, HS Varsity Girls Basketball Team, HS Swim Team, MS D.A.R.E. Essay Winner, and the MS Black History Program! Congratulations, Eagles; your accomplishments are simply amazing!

The safety of our Eagles is our top priority. We are pleased to announce that a tornado drill was conducted today. #BePrepared #VDEM

Lunch Spotlight: Check out the Chef Salad and Southwest Chicken Salad! They are made with locally grown fresh greens from Greenswell Growers in Powhatan. The Southwest Chicken Salad includes black beans, roasted corn and jalapenos, avocado, diced tomatoes, and marinated chicken bites. As the local growing season begins, we will start getting cucumbers, tomatoes, and other fresh vegetables to serve each day. #TrayTuesday #VAFarm2School

Spring sports are here! The schedules are live on the PECPS website and app. As always, schedules are subject to change due to weather and other circumstances. #GoEagles
